Patch notes
What has changed in ExoMiner — the newest version is at the top.
Alpha 0.8.1.5 ·
- Comic style (test): companion window and boss chest show the new painted drones.
Alpha 0.8.1.4 ·
- Comic style (test): turret head cut out cleanly, no more dark line under the head.
Alpha 0.8.1.3 ·
- Comic style (test): new turret art.
Alpha 0.8.1.2 ·
- Comic style (test): new art for all 7 drones.
Alpha 0.8.1.1 ·
- Admin test: premium frost suit (idle only).
Alpha 0.8.1.0 ·
- Comic style: Mara no longer shrinks while walking.
Alpha 0.8.0.9 ·
- Map: new boss marker in comic style.
Alpha 0.8.0.8 ·
- Map: the paths now run exactly through the locations. The path from the base to the Old Shafts passes by the launch pad, which has its own short branch from the base.
Alpha 0.8.0.7 ·
- Nicer login calendar: month and date range at the top, plus a progress bar. Every field shows its picture, the amount in large print and the name below. Exo days and the last day are highlighted in purple, today's field glows gold, claimed fields carry a green tick.
- Login calendar: fewer credits, more refinery goods and keys instead. The last day of the month gives a large amount of goods.
Alpha 0.8.0.5 ·
- New: login calendar. Every day you drop by, the next field opens – credits, refinery goods, code keys and Exos on fixed days. Missed days are not lost; what counts is how often you claim. Find it in the menu under “Daily reward” and at the top of the key window.
Alpha 0.7.2.3 ·
- Climbing: Mara now hangs in front of the ladder instead of behind it. When walking past, the ladder stays in the foreground as before.
- Mobile networks: signed-in players are no longer locked out when someone else on the same mobile network address behaves suspiciously.
Alpha 0.7.2.2 ·
- Bag: the “Equip best” and “Sorted” buttons no longer stick out of the crate card on PC. If space is short, they move below the heading.
- iPad and phone: the question at the boss portal (farm or try the next level) closed again right after a short tap. Now it stays open; only a new tap beside the card closes it.
Alpha 0.7.2.1 ·
- Refinery: every oven now uses the same number of cells in the fuel chamber, whatever the refinery level (1 cell per second per oven and fuel slot). Before, a cell lasted longer with every level, and with many ovens the cells piled up. The chamber still holds 24 hours of supply and grows accordingly.
Alpha 0.7.2.0 ·
- Equipment: below the combat power number it now says why an item is better or worse — the two or three stats that matter most, with their share in percent.
- Bag: new sort button. “Sorted: combat power” puts the items with the biggest gain first, “Sorted: found” shows the found order again. Your device remembers the choice.
Alpha 0.7.1.9 ·
- The boss chest no longer appears twice in the bag among the materials, only at the top in the stacks. In storage it now shows the new image.
Alpha 0.7.1.8 ·
- Bag: every equipment item now shows an arrow telling whether it raises your combat power: green ↑ better, ⇈ much better (from +10 %), red ↓ worse. Pulsing gold remains the best item per slot. Hovering the arrow shows the exact percentage.
- New “Equip best” button: equips the best item from your bag on every slot with one tap.
Alpha 0.7.1.7 ·
- Equipment: whether an item is better is now calculated with your whole character: damage per second and survival against your strongest boss, with all stats. Before, a fixed point sum was used in which attack speed counted for almost nothing. The golden arrow and auto-scrap follow the new calculation.
- The equipment window now shows by how many percent your combat power rises or falls with the item.
Alpha 0.7.1.6 ·
- Boss chests now have their own image per tier: the basic chest is dark without lights, level 10+ glows purple, 20+ gold, 30+ orange and 40+ red.
Alpha 0.7.1.5 ·
- Boss chests now sit in separate stacks by the boss level you earned them on (level 10+, 20+, 30+, 40+ and basic chests). You choose which chest to open with your code key.
- Chests from before this update are basic chests.
Alpha 0.7.1.4 ·
- Boss chamber: new “Climb” switch in the location sign. ON: the next level comes after every win. OFF: you farm and the level stays the same no matter how often you win. A defeat turns it off and sets you back one level.
- While farming, the level no longer secretly rises after 5 wins in a row.
Alpha 0.7.1.3 ·
- Boss fight: if the boss falls while you are in another tab, it no longer stands around dead when you come back.
Alpha 0.7.1.2 ·
- Boss chamber: the boss no longer fakes falling over when you enter. Kills from the level in front of the portal are no longer played back inside the chamber; the boss only falls on its own kill.
- Changing location: loot from the level you just left no longer lies around in the new one (for example in the base). As before, it is in your bag.
Alpha 0.7.1.1 ·
- Boss chambers: boss images are now loaded in advance (on the level with the red portal and for every chamber you have already fought in). When you enter the chamber, the boss is there right away.
- Turret: it no longer keeps shooting at a boss that is already dead.
Alpha 0.7.1.0 ·
- Boss fight: when Mara dies, the boss no longer pretends to fall over too. When you come back after the rescue, it is there right away and no longer falls over once or twice for no reason.
- When you enter a chamber again after dying, Mara's death animation no longer plays once more.
- After falling, Mara no longer hovers above the ground, she now lies on it. She also no longer lifts off while falling.
- Mara's death and ground-slam animations are crisp again (the images had been saved with lossy compression).
Alpha 0.7.0.9 ·
- Equipment: new tiles with a large picture. Level and crown sit as badges on the picture, and the name now fits on narrow phones too.
- Bag and storage: the crown sits at the top left and no longer bumps into the rarity dots.
Alpha 0.7.0.8 ·
- Chest pieces now carry their own crown with a violet glow instead of the ♛ sign.
- Equipment: long names no longer break in the middle of a word.
Alpha 0.7.0.7 ·
- Bosses: your record counts. If you lose, you keep fighting below your record: one level lower after a defeat, one higher again after 5 wins in a row, never above the record. At the boss portal you choose whether to keep farming or to try the level above your record.
- Boss chests get better with the boss level: from level 10, 20, 30 and 40 the equipment inside is less often Rare and more often Epic, Legendary or Unique. What counts is the level at which you won the chest.
- Every 5 new record levels give 2 code keys once per boss.
- Credits and experience from bosses now only grow with the level up to three times the first level.
- From level 150 your deployed drones get 1.5 times the experience per kill.
- The boss chamber sign now also shows your record.
Alpha 0.7.0.6 ·
- Tour on a phone in portrait: the map scrolls to the base, and the text box no longer sits on top of the point you should tap.
- The hint “The base is open!” now waits until you close “Welcome back” instead of sitting half underneath it.
Alpha 0.7.0.5 ·
- Gear from the boss chest now matches your furthest level: only templates that also drop there normally.
- Chest pieces carry a crown ♛ and a violet frame. They are never scrapped automatically and never used up as duplicates.
- Normal finds of the same template go onto the duplicate stack and pay for merging the chest piece — even if you are not wearing it.
Alpha 0.7.0.4 ·
- Companions: “Highest rarity” no longer sticks out of the button; the text wraps on narrow cards.
Alpha 0.7.0.3 ·
- The “New version available” notice now appears within a minute instead of up to five, and it matches the game's look.
Alpha 0.7.0.2 ·
- Refinery and shredder: the bars in the ovens now run smoothly instead of jumping. Each oven has its own rhythm.
- The embers in working ovens flicker slightly, with a little heat rising above them.
Alpha 0.7.0.1 ·
- Standing orders now come in four sizes: 1,000, 2,000, 5,000 or 10,000 kills. Which one comes next is random. Bigger orders give more goods and a higher Exo chance; the heavy order with 10,000 kills always gives 1 Exo.
Alpha 0.7.0.0 ·
- Standing order counts again: after the last fixed task the counter stayed at 0 because the goal moved with every kill. The goal is now fixed.
Alpha 0.6.9.9 ·
- The hint at the Hunter and the Simulator now sits up by the building instead of down by Mara.
Alpha 0.6.9.8 ·
- Order tracker on the right redone: icon on the left, name and progress on one line, slim bar. Finished orders have a green border and a checkmark.
Alpha 0.6.9.7 ·
- Less text in the windows: long explanations are now behind a “?”. Tap to expand.
Alpha 0.6.9.6 ·
- New look also for the start screen, the welcome-back window, small windows like this one and all input fields.
Alpha 0.6.9.4 ·
- New look also for the order tracker on the right, the skills next to Mara and the signs above the portal and buildings.
Alpha 0.6.9.3 ·
- New look for the HUD and windows: metal frames like in the backdrops, lettering like in the logo, Mara's portrait with a level badge and bars with symbols.
- Refinery and shredder: the furnaces are shown as tiles with what is currently melting inside. Next to them the next furnace to buy and the next one from levelling. If the output tray is empty, it is hidden.
Alpha 0.6.9.2 ·
- Reactor: a fuel cell now costs 20 scrap and 1 circuit part instead of 50 scrap and 2 circuit parts.
- Orders now also give fuel cells for the refinery. The higher the order tier and your rank, the more. Applies to all newly appearing orders.
Alpha 0.6.9.1 ·
- Guests: turning your guest account into your own account now gives you 20 Exos instead of 5.
Alpha 0.6.9.0 ·
- Daily tasks: if you were offline past midnight, everything after midnight now counts towards the new day's daily tasks.
- Guests: from level 15 on, there is nothing more offline either, just like while playing. A new window explains how to continue with a free account.
Alpha 0.6.8.9 ·
- Fight start: after travelling to a zone, the first enemy now appears after about 1 second and the first hit comes after about 3 seconds. Before, it took 5 to 7 seconds.
- Damage numbers and loot texts: holes in letters and digits (6, 8, 0, e …) showed a light spot. The holes are now dark blue like in the logo.
Alpha 0.6.8.8 ·
- Damage numbers and loot texts now have the same layers as the ExoMiner logo: white rim, dark blue rim, lettering. Before, the dark rim took on the color of the number.
Alpha 0.6.8.7 ·
- Start screen: if the tablet sat on the start screen for a while, a second start screen appeared after “CONTINUE PLAYING”. Now the game fetches the current state and starts right away.
- Order tracker on the right: a short tap opened the window and closed it again right away. Fixed.
- More stable after coming back: if the app was in the background for a while, the game now catches up cleanly as soon as you look at it again, instead of getting stuck in the background.
- If you were logged out (for example on another device), the game now tells you and reloads, instead of silently carrying on.
- If the server is briefly unreachable at start, the game now retries at calm intervals instead of flooding the server with requests.
- If you travel to a zone right after dying, you start with full health.
- Area damage: a bug allowed unrealistically many kills at once with very high damage. Fixed.
- Faster start: the game now loads as one file instead of over a hundred separate ones, and the server sends the files compressed.
Alpha 0.6.8.6 ·
- Start screen: if the game could not load completely, “CONTINUE PLAYING” did nothing. Now the page reloads once by itself, and after that there is a notice and a reload button.
- Start screen: while the server fetches your save, it says “Connecting to the server …”.
- After entering a zone, Mara now stays put at first instead of walking into the middle of the enemies. In boss chambers she no longer walks up to the boss.
- Faster start: enemy graphics are only loaded when you enter their zone, and many graphics are now much smaller. The start screen now loads about 5 MB of images instead of 23 MB.
Alpha 0.6.8.5 ·
- Brood Chamber, Spore Hall and Cavern of the Mine Lord have new backdrops. The Brood Chamber is now as finely drawn as the other zones.
- All three boss chambers have a new ground.
Alpha 0.6.8.4 ·
- Ore: deposits now yield one and a half times as much ore as before. Scrap from wrecks stays the same.
- Supply office: lumen orders now also list the Shard Ridge as a source.
- Boss chambers: the boss is now there right away when you enter the chamber.
- Boss chambers: when you came back after dying, the boss defeated last time was sometimes still lying there. Fixed.
- Mara now only falls when her health is really at 0 (before, she fell at a few hundred health).
- Mara's death animation is sharper.
Alpha 0.6.8.3 ·
- Mara now has her own death animation: when she is defeated in a boss fight, she topples over backward. When the crew rescues her, she gets back up.
Alpha 0.6.8.2 ·
- Mine Lord: the fight against him took too long (about three minutes). He now has about half the health but hits harder, so a fight takes roughly a minute and a half.
- Mine Lord: he now stands firmly on the ground.
Alpha 0.6.8.1 ·
- Spore Lord: he was floating slightly above the ground; now his roots grip the floor.
Alpha 0.6.8.0 ·
- Mine Lord: the act 1 final boss now has his own look – a colossus of steel and magma on treads, wielding a giant drill spear.
- Mine Lord: every few seconds he raises his drill spear and rams it into the ground. The quake hits Mara hard and stuns her briefly. While he winds up, he does not strike normally.
- Hangar: the “Rarity ↑” button is now on every weapon, drill and salvager. You no longer have to equip a tool first to merge it.
Alpha 0.6.7.9 ·
- Spore Lord: he now has his own look – a giant toxic mushroom with root feet. He visibly winds up before blowing his spore cloud at Mara, and collapses when he dies.
Alpha 0.6.7.8 ·
- Spore Lord: every few seconds he releases a toxic spore cloud. While it hangs over Mara, she takes damage and does not heal herself.
- Spore Lord: he calls small spore bearers for help. Only once they are defeated can Mara hit the lord himself again.
Alpha 0.6.7.7 ·
- On start the game now only downloads files that have changed. Before, all of the roughly 150 files were fetched in full on every start – noticeable on mobile data.
- If a command is repeated after a network hiccup, the game no longer reports success when the first attempt was actually rejected.
Alpha 0.6.7.6 ·
- Wiki: instead of exact drop chances in percent, it now says how often something drops (from “very rarely” to “always”). Only the server knows the exact values.
Alpha 0.6.7.5 ·
- Long absences are now calculated in steps of at most two hours. With large save games the calculation could otherwise hit the server's time limit, and the game got stuck on the loading screen.
- Guests at the level limit count as active when they visit and are no longer deleted after 30 days as long as they keep coming back.
- After an update, an old game that is still open reloads by itself when needed instead of running on with outdated commands.
Alpha 0.6.7.4 ·
- Start screen: the planet and the lettering fly in separately when the game opens and then float gently. A tap puts them in place right away. With “reduce motion” the logo stays still.
- The camera move across the background picture is much stronger: wider pan, more zoom, a slight tilt.
- Start screen on low screens (e.g. laptops): if the content does not fit, it can now be scrolled. Before, the logo was cut off at the top and the links covered “Play as guest” at the bottom.
Alpha 0.6.7.3 ·
- New app icon and favicon: just the planet with crystals and rocket, without the lettering, so it is easy to recognise even when small.
- Damage numbers, loot texts and deposit labels above the world now use the font from the ExoMiner logo: bold rounded letters with a white rim and their own colour per type (crit red-orange, chain purple, skill gold, miss grey).
Alpha 0.6.7.2 ·
- Fixed: when gathering without fighting, the random roll repeated every second, so rare finds (gears, circuits, tool duplicates) came never or every second. They now drop at the correct chance.
- Full material bag: mining and salvaging now pause completely, including tool experience, daily goal and gathering rank. Above the deposit it says “Bag full – mining paused”. As soon as there is space again, it continues by itself.
- Pause after two hours without input: time then counts as offline (offline yield, at most 12 hours) and is calculated with a return report when you continue.
- Return report after a long absence: it shows the best 40 gear pieces and the rest as a number. Before, it could grow so large that it did not appear at all. Everything still goes into the bag.
- Daily tasks now reset at midnight German time (before at 1 or 2 a.m.). The window shows when new ones arrive.
- Tablet/phone: when the system shows a bar, the world keeps its size. Only the bottom edge moves instead of everything shrinking.
Alpha 0.6.7.1 ·
- Tablet: the game no longer requests an extra fullscreen mode on start. With it, the swiped-up taskbar could not be used because it vanished immediately.
Alpha 0.6.7.0 ·
- Tablets and phones: the play area now adapts right away when the free space changes, for example when the Samsung taskbar is shown or hidden. Before, a black strip stayed at the bottom until the game was reloaded.
- On touch devices, tapping “Start game” or “Continue” switches to true fullscreen and hides the Android bars. The world now reaches the screen edge; only the controls keep their distance from the system bars.
Alpha 0.6.6.9 ·
- Fusion reactor stages 4 and 5 no longer need an artifact as igniter. You now collect artifacts only to fuse them and raise their bonuses.
- Hints after the start mission (talent points, way to the base, boss too strong) no longer pause the game. The fight kept running on the server anyway while the picture stood still, and after closing the kills jumped ahead.
- Fixed: when the introduction paused the game, the whole frozen picture kept shaking.
Alpha 0.6.6.8 ·
- Fixed: after all saves were reset, reloading showed “Server unreachable”, and an open game silently stood still. Now the server creates a fresh save right away; an open game shows “Your save was reset” and reloads by itself.
- Artifacts drop much more often: 24-hour missions now bring one 60% of the time (before 10%), shorter missions correspondingly more.
Alpha 0.6.6.7 ·
- Refinery unlocks earlier: iron bars from level 5, kaverit plates from 7, steel from 10, void cores from 13 (before 15, 18, 22 and 25). With the new gathering, the ore from the first zones was no longer enough to get the refinery that far.
- New prices for the station, fusion reactor, mission slots and artifact fusion: station stage 1 and reactor stage 1 are now reachable during the act, reactor stage 2 by the end of the act, the rest in about a week after. Before, they cost billions to trillions of credits and were out of reach in Act 1.
- Drone slots 5 and 6 still cost 25M and 200M credits, now plus 500 iron bars and 300 steel bars instead of 60,000 copper bars and 25,000 bronze bars.
Alpha 0.6.6.6 ·
- New: gathering rank for drones. Gathered pieces (mining and salvaging, also offline) give the slotted drones gathering experience. The rank (up to 30) only raises their gathering stats, i.e. gathering bonus and drilling. Combat stats such as attack, health and find luck still grow only with the level from kills. Rank and progress are shown on every drone card.
Alpha 0.6.6.5 ·
- Gathering rebalanced: mining and salvaging yield much less per second (about 500 early on, about 7,000 pieces per hour at the end of the act instead of up to 190,000), and drones no longer gain experience from it. Drones now level only from kills, but a little faster per level.
- Experience from Crystal Ridge onward lowered: you now reach level 150 in the Core Chamber, not already in the Ash Maw.
- Fixed: when the materials bag was full, no equipment dropped either, even though it has its own bag. In the late game this meant almost no new pieces.
Alpha 0.6.6.4 ·
- Mara is no longer covered at all: damage numbers, loot texts and the stock bar now move aside instead of lying see-through on top of her.
- Boss chest redesigned: every card shows its rarity as a badge at the top, the item glows in its colour, with a ray burst from Legendary up and for new tools. Stats are listed with the number in the rarity colour. Cards reveal one after another with a short flash.
- Bag, depot and facilities: the count on each tile now sits centred below the picture, larger and with a strong outline. It no longer runs over the edge and is easy to read on any background.
Alpha 0.6.6.2 ·
- Technical: the game world's drawing function (almost 900 lines in one piece) has been split into four parts: combat messages, background, enemies, foreground. Nothing changes in the picture.
Alpha 0.6.6.1 ·
- Technical: the main file of the interface (over 1,600 lines) has been split into twelve small parts — start screen, windows, header bar, frame loop, heartbeat and so on. Nothing changes in the game.
Alpha 0.6.6.0 ·
- Technical: the browser no longer repairs save games itself. Only the server does that now, and the browser takes the state as it arrives. This removes over 770 lines of duplicate checks.
Alpha 0.6.5.9 ·
- Purchases with Exos (ovens, fuel slots, reactor and shredder chambers), sell prices at the trading post, and the drone station's slots, locks and fuel now come from the server. What you see is exactly what the server checks and charges.
- Responses to the browser are smaller again: only the part of the prices that changed is sent.
Alpha 0.6.5.8 ·
- Mara is no longer hidden: damage numbers, skill names, loot texts and the stock bar turn see-through while they're on top of her.
Alpha 0.6.5.7 ·
- Talents: costs, rules (which node can be learned right now and why not) and the reset price now come from the server. Responses to the browser are about half as big as a result.
- Deposits: the label above the stock bar now uses the same font and size as the loot texts and has some space between it and the bar.
Alpha 0.6.5.6 ·
- Prices and costs in the simulator, at the hunter (tracks and tractor beams), for expanding bag and storage, and in the reputation shop now come from the server. What you see is exactly the price the server charges when you buy.
Alpha 0.6.5.5 ·
- Companions: every drone in the crate now has the same “Rarity ↑” button as in a slot. It’s greyed out while duplicates are missing, and the card lights up once merging is possible. Tapping the card still equips the drone.
Alpha 0.6.5.4 ·
- Fixed: drones from chests ended up in still-locked slots 5 or 6. There they were invisible but still gave their bonus, and the badge on the Companions button lit up for a drone you couldn't find anywhere. Such drones are now in the crate.
- Merging now also works for drones in the crate: the card lights up, and the button is right below it.
Alpha 0.6.5.3 ·
- Messages for rejected actions are more precise: every rejection now has a fixed reason instead of the game guessing the sentence from text. An empty output tray or a full material bag when collecting is now reported instead of silently doing nothing.
Alpha 0.6.5.2 ·
- Fixed: with two similarly good gear pieces, the golden arrow jumped back and forth. Whichever one you equipped, the other was marked as better. Now both are compared at the same level, the higher of the two.
- The “Start over” (start screen) and “Delete save” (menu) buttons have been removed. Both only logged you out; your save on the server stayed. You can log out or delete your account under Menu → Account.
- Cleanup: removed old, unused parts of the game and server. Devices that haven’t been in the game since August need to log in once more.
Alpha 0.6.5.1 ·
- Deposit stock and building signs are calmer: thinner outline, a single colour, slightly smaller. The stock bar is as wide as the label above it.
Alpha 0.6.5.0 ·
- Loot pop-ups now only glide smoothly upwards. Before, they briefly jerked down when a new pop-up appeared or the same loot was added to one.
Alpha 0.6.4.9 ·
- Unified lettering in the game world: loot pop-ups (“+12 Iron Ore”), the stock shown on deposits (“left · mined”) and the building signs in the base now share the look of the damage numbers, with a dark outline and a gradient in the resource’s colour.
Alpha 0.6.4.8 ·
- Enemy health bars now glide smoothly: on a hit, the red bar slides down in an instant instead of jumping, and a light strip briefly shows what the hit took away. This applies to swarm enemies and bosses.
- Fixed: in a completed level, the counter at the top jumped back and forth between the target and one less (e.g. 1,899 and 1,900 in Crystal Ridge).
Alpha 0.6.4.7 ·
- Boss health bar reworked: it now follows exactly the hits you see as damage numbers. It is full when the boss appears, exactly empty when it dies, and a light strip shows what the last hit took away. Before, it started only three quarters full and was still red at death.
- Fixed: the boss briefly disappeared just before dying and then reappeared lying dead.
- Fixed: the skill display only jumped every few seconds (e.g. alternating 8 and 3). Now it counts down second by second.
- Fixed: combat events during a button press (e.g. travelling) were not shown, such as a boss dying.
Alpha 0.6.4.6 ·
- Boss levels: every win raises a boss one level, with more health, a stronger attack and more loot. If you lose, it drops back one level. The level is shown on the location sign (e.g. “Brood Chamber · Level 4”). This keeps every boss challenging, even once you are further ahead.
Alpha 0.6.4.5 ·
- Bosses now have a fixed strength for their level and no longer grow with your progress. If you are further along, you now beat the Brood Mother in a few seconds. Before, from the Spore Field on, she had over 29,000 instead of about 2,200 health.
- If you lose against a boss, it comes back with full health on your next try.
- Fixed: after Mara died in a boss fight, the health bar showed full health during the waiting time.
Alpha 0.6.4.4 ·
- The Brood Mother reworked: her maggots are now real enemies with their own health. All shots hit the maggots first, then the boss again, and every living maggot bites a little. The stronger you are, the faster you clear the brood. The server calculates this, so the fight plays out exactly the same in the background and offline.
- In return the Brood Mother has less health (minimum 2,190 instead of 3,050): with a typical character the fight still takes about 45 seconds.
Alpha 0.6.4.3 ·
- Logins are better protected: the server now only stores a check value of your session, not the key itself. You stay logged in.
Alpha 0.6.4.2 ·
- Fixed: cancelling a refinery, reactor or shredder order while the material bag was full lost the materials. Now the order is only cancelled if everything fits back into the bag — otherwise it stays.
- Zone travel and the daily reset are now decided by the server alone. If it rejects a trip, Mara stays where she is — before, she already appeared in the new zone on screen.
- If the server hangs, the game cancels a request after 20 seconds and tries again instead of waiting forever.
- The badge on the talents button now only lights up when you can actually spend a point. Before, it lit up with one free point even if the next skill costs two.
- Fixed: on the very first kill in a zone, the counter at the top briefly jumped back from 1 to 0.
Alpha 0.6.4.1 ·
- The kill counter at the top now goes up at exactly the moment the enemy falls on screen. Before, it jumped early or up to a second late.
- Drone slots now open within the Act 1 level cap: slot 4 from level 25, slot 5 from level 70, slot 6 from level 120 (before 100, 250 and 500). The prices for slots 5 and 6 will still be adjusted to the new economy.
Alpha 0.6.4.0 ·
- Combat log: the server now records every hit, every miss and every kill, and the stage plays back exactly that. Every damage number is a real hit with a real crit, the health bar shows the real remaining health, and every enemy that falls drops exactly its own credits and loot. Before, damage numbers and kills on screen were estimates.
Alpha 0.6.3.4 ·
- Fixed: in fast fights, fewer enemies still fell on screen than were counted. When kills pile up, visible neighbours now fall right away, and defeated enemies lie around for a shorter time.
Alpha 0.6.3.3 ·
- Fixed: the kill counter ran faster than enemies fell on screen. If no enemy is in view at that moment, a kill is no longer lost but lands on the next one.
Alpha 0.6.3.2 ·
- Fixed: Mara and the drone stopped shooting after the last update. Enemies on screen now fall by the server's kill counter. If several fall within a second, several fall on screen too.
Alpha 0.6.3.1 ·
- No more waiting between enemies: the next one is ready right away instead of taking 2–4 seconds. You now defeat about twice as many enemies. So the pace of the game stays the same, each one gives a little less experience, credits and loot, and every zone needs more kills. Kill quests count higher to match, and gear, companions and weapons need twice as many kills for their next level.
- Enemies on screen now fall exactly when the server counts the kill, and the health bar follows the real health. Before, about twice as many enemies fell on screen as were counted.
- Accounts that were still logged in after the reset now get a fresh save as soon as the game loads. Before, the game ran without a save and reported “Server unreachable”.
Alpha 0.6.3.0 ·
- Big balance overhaul for Act 1: fights last a few seconds again instead of a blink, and bosses are real opponents. Upgrading makes an item about twice as strong at +30. Critical hits are capped at 75 % chance, and hits vary by ±5 %. Your level now noticeably raises damage, health and armour, attack talents are 2.5 times as strong, and companions give less attack. Level cap in Act 1: 150. Enemies give 35 % more credits and experience. All saves start fresh.
Alpha 0.6.2.9 ·
- New damage numbers: hits now pop up big and bold above the enemies, with a thick outline and in the colour of your weapon. Critical hits are much bigger, red-orange and flash with a star. Several numbers stack on top of each other instead of overlapping.
Alpha 0.6.2.8 ·
- Under the hood: the guest name is now decided by the server alone. The game only displays it.
Alpha 0.6.2.7 ·
- New guest names: guests are now named after a star with a number, for example “Vega-4821” instead of “Gast_FlinkerKomet”. The names are the same in every language, and duplicates are now rare.
Alpha 0.6.2.6 ·
- The storm bolt now always strikes all the way to the ground, even with floating enemies like in the Warden Basin. Before, it sometimes ended in mid-air. The damage to enemies stays the same.
Alpha 0.6.2.5 ·
- Orders keep their materials: once an accepted order is fully collected, its materials are locked. Refinery, reactor, shredder, trading and building only use what is left over — so “All” no longer melts down your order materials. Half-collected orders lock nothing. Locked amounts are marked with 🔒 on recipes and in trading.
Alpha 0.6.2.4 ·
- More yield while watching: partly mined ore, partly salvaged scrap and splash damage used to be lost every second. Now every fraction counts — up to 10% more ore from mining.
- Offline in a boss chamber: if your crew dies there while you are away, they are now rescued and brought back to the base. Before, Mara kept dying all night long.
- The game now checks in with the server every 5 seconds instead of every second. The fight still runs second by second: the stage replays the server's seconds, and your yield is exactly the same.
Alpha 0.6.2.3 ·
- Less data traffic: while you play, the server now only sends what has changed instead of the whole save every second — about three quarters less data, good for your mobile data plan.
Alpha 0.6.2.2 ·
- Been away a long time? When you come back, a progress bar now shows how many hours are being caught up and how long it will take. Before, the start screen just sat there as if the game had frozen.
Alpha 0.6.2.1 ·
- Faster return: after a long absence your earnings are now calculated more than twice as fast — with exactly the same loot as before.
Alpha 0.6.2.0 ·
- Connection: If the server hiccups, the game no longer asks every second. It retries at growing intervals and lets you know. A short note appears once the connection is back.
- Less data traffic: Your settings are only saved when you change something — no longer the whole save every minute.
Alpha 0.6.1.97 ·
- Support: Your reports are now tickets. Under Menu → “Report a bug & support” you can see their status and replies and write back. A red dot shows a new reply.
- Guests get a name: instead of a number you now play as, for example, “Gast_FlinkerKomet”.
Alpha 0.6.1.96 ·
- Extended tutorial: inventory and equipping gear, code keys and daily tasks, talents and the way to the base are now shown step by step.
- Landing Zone: you reach the base after 60 instead of 300 enemies. The base comes before the next zone.
- You find gear much more often in the first six zones.
- Code keys: tap the counter at the top right to see the daily tasks and every way to get more keys. A red dot marks a finished task.
- Menu: new “Report a bug & support” for bugs, ideas and questions.
- Base: tap a building and Mara walks there and opens it.
- You can now drag gear onto the whole equipment card; the matching slot lights up green.
- New backdrops for the Old Shafts and the Brood Chamber, new ground in the Brood Chamber.
- If you die several times to the same boss, the game tells you how to get stronger.
Alpha 0.6.1.95 ·
- Wreck Plunderer: new players meet their first boss in the Landing Zone. A short tour shows the chest, inventory and companions along the way.
Alpha 0.6.1.93 ·
- Faster loading: The game now only fetches the images of the suit Mara is wearing and no longer keeps asking for images that don't exist yet.
Alpha 0.6.1.91 ·
- Supply office: “Deliver all” and “Accept” no longer stay greyed out after a click — even when your slots were full and free up again.
- Build costs: what you are still missing now shows in red, what you already have in green.
- Map: bosses now have their own marker.
- Drone station: the artifact album is now at the very top.
- Skill tree: tapping a skill no longer makes the tree briefly jump to full size.
Alpha 0.6.1.90 ·
- Boss chest: Anything already at the highest rarity (drones, weapons, drills, salvagers) no longer comes from the chest — you get more refined goods instead. The wrong “NEW” label on such finds is fixed.
- Twin Drill and Twin Salvager now only come from boss chests — including the duplicates for upgrading. While working, no more duplicates drop for tools that are already maxed.
- New players start with one weapon, one drill and one salvager — everything else is found in boss chests.
Alpha 0.6.1.89 ·
- Hunter: New track “Salvage Grip” — crystal dust from the shredder now raises your salvage power (+1 per level).
- Twin tools: Boss chests now have about a 10% chance to contain a Twin Drill or the new Twin Salvager. The Twin Salvager cuts two wrecks at once — double yield when salvaging.
- New: New drones, weapons, drills and salvagers now only come from boss chests — in return every chest now holds a drone, and drills can be inside too. What you own gets stronger through work: duplicates for upgrading still drop in combat, while mining and while salvaging. Everything you already own stays yours.
- Hangar: Tools you haven't found yet now show with outline and name (“boss chests only”) — so you can see what's still out there.
- Code keys: Contracts give a key less often (3% instead of 10%). In the reputation shop the price rises with each purchase on the same day (120 → 180 → 270 …) and drops back to 120 the next day.
- Map: Location dots are bigger, the boss skull sits right at the dot.
Alpha 0.6.1.88 ·
- Windows: all windows now share the same calm style as the bar at the bottom — gold only for the main action and rewards, cyan for selection and secondary buttons, ✕ always top right.
- Map: places readable on any background (dark ring, name tag), your location glows gold, bosses clearly marked in red, legend below the map. On phones the map can be scrolled sideways.
Alpha 0.6.1.87 ·
- Talent tree: “Field Studies” (Veteran) now has its picture too.
Alpha 0.6.1.86 ·
- Talent tree: every talent now has its own picture instead of a symbol, skills show their icon from the skill bar. Fully learned talents glow with a golden frame.
- Faster loading: backgrounds, floors, enemies, deposits and Mara now come as WebP — same look, only about a quarter of the data. A new zone loads much faster, especially on phones.
Alpha 0.6.1.85 ·
- New talent “Double Storm” (Technician, after Thunderstorm): every bolt hits for 300 % instead of 200 % attack and strikes as a double strand. The skill gets a golden, shining frame in the skill bar.
- Talent tree: now adapts to the window width — the right column is no longer cut off.
Alpha 0.6.1.84 ·
- Storm: after switching back from another tab, several collected storms no longer fire on top of each other at once.
Alpha 0.6.1.83 ·
- Progress bars: the same modern style everywhere (no light border) and a bit thicker — also in the refinery, the shredder and while loading.
Alpha 0.6.1.82 ·
- Storm: real impacts — a bright flash, a glow on the ground, sparks that partly burst mid-air, glowing splinters and dust. The foot of the bolt sprays sparks across the ground.
Alpha 0.6.1.81 ·
- Storm: the lightning branches now vary in strength too, swell and taper off finely.
Alpha 0.6.1.80 ·
- Storm: the lightning thickness now varies clearly — with strong bulges in the main channel, and the glow grows along with it.
Alpha 0.6.1.79 ·
- Storm: the lightning strands now vary in thickness — the main channel swells and thins, the branches taper off.
Alpha 0.6.1.78 ·
- Storm: a lightning bolt now changes its whole shape several times while it lasts, especially when it strikes again.
Alpha 0.6.1.77 ·
- Storm: the lightning bolts now twitch more lively — the channel bends harder and jumps left and right while flickering.
Alpha 0.6.1.76 ·
- Wrecks: soft smoke now rises from the wrecks, sparks spray from broken parts, and embers drift up from the lava lander.
Alpha 0.6.1.75 ·
- Storm: the lightning bolts are now pre-baked once at start instead of being redrawn on every strike — same look, much smoother on phones.
Alpha 0.6.1.74 ·
- Shredder: now built like the refinery — jobs as cards you can reorder, recipes as rows (higher materials unlock by level), booster chamber like the fuel chamber.
Alpha 0.6.1.73 ·
- Junk and auto-salvage now keep every item that is a noticeable upgrade — not just the one with the golden arrow.
Alpha 0.6.1.72 ·
- Shredder: now levels up like the refinery — every piece gives experience, 2 % faster per level, a new cutter rotor every 10 levels.
Alpha 0.6.1.71 ·
- Every enemy now has its own health: big ones last longer, small ones fall faster. With the multi-laser each target falls on its own instead of all at once.
Alpha 0.6.1.70 ·
- Shredder: metals into ore dust, crystals into crystal dust. New building in the base — with chambers and a three-stage booster chamber for fuel cells.
Alpha 0.6.1.69 ·
- Thunderstorm: exactly 4 bolts, spread across the screen — they never overlap anymore.
Alpha 0.6.1.68 ·
- Thunderstorm: the bolts are now generated as pixel art — each one looks different, jerks wildly, strikes again, switches between blue and purple and reaches from the top of the screen down to the enemy.
Alpha 0.6.1.66 ·
- Thunderstorm: new, powerful bolts that flicker between blue and purple for a moment after striking before breaking into sparks.
Alpha 0.6.1.59 ·
- Ground slam: the shockwave now runs around Mara (behind her at the back, in front at the front) and hits harder, with an impact flash, a second wave and bigger sparks.
- New icons for Ore Rush, Battle Cry, Mark, Fan Shot, Thunderstorm and Turret.
- The drone is now drawn on top of its beams and Mara's laser instead of disappearing underneath.
- New wrecks in the Landing Zone, the Warden Cauldron and the Drill Beetle Burrow; the drill rig no longer towers over the enemies as much.
Alpha 0.6.1.57 ·
- Skill bar: on a phone held sideways it sits at the bottom above the bar again instead of in the middle of the screen.
- On PC it now lines up with the left edge of the bottom bar instead of the screen edge.
Alpha 0.6.1.55 ·
- Turret: smaller, and when switching sides the barrel swings over the top instead of shrinking into a thin line.
- Thunderstorm: the bolts now strike behind Mara instead of in front of her.
Alpha 0.6.1.54 ·
- The new skills no longer lock the Veteran: if you had maxed your path before, she is open again, bonuses included.
- Lost talent points are back: if you are missing points for your level (e.g. after a reset), they are credited automatically on load.
Alpha 0.6.1.53 ·
- The crashed wreck in the Magma Cauldron is new: dark metal lit red by the lava instead of the pale lander.
- Long notices and patch notes now fit on a phone held sideways too: the text scrolls and the OK button always stays visible.
Alpha 0.6.1.52 ·
- Every path now has four abilities: two new ones wait at the very end of the talent tree, reachable through either of the two choices before them.
- Breaker: “Ore Rush” (double mining and salvage yield for 10 s) and “Battle Cry” (+50 % attack for 8 s).
- Hunter: “Mark Target” (target takes +50 % damage and drops double loot) and “Fan Shot” (five shots at five different enemies).
- Technician: “Thunderstorm” (four bolts into four different enemies) and “Sentry Turret” (a turret drops from a warp next to Mara, turns to the enemy and fires bursts).
- Abilities now share energy fairly: the big ones with long cooldowns go first instead of one cheap ability using up all the energy.
Alpha 0.6.1.51 ·
- The magma crawler now lies flat in the lava floor; its tail no longer hovers in the air.
Alpha 0.6.1.50 ·
- Multiple laser beams never target the same enemy any more. Each beam stays on its target until it falls instead of jumping back and forth.
Alpha 0.6.1.49 ·
- Shockwave and Ground Slam now show every time they fire: Mara stops briefly for the slam instead of walking on to the next enemy and cutting the animation short.
- Multiple combat lasers now fire in turn instead of all at the same moment, and so do the two beams of the twin drill.
- The tractor beams now grab loot one after another instead of pulling everything in at once.
Alpha 0.6.1.48 ·
- New abilities: “Ground Slam” (Breaker), “Hunting Frenzy” (Hunter) and “Drone Overdrive” (Technician) replace the protective abilities, which only triggered against bosses below 60 % health and were therefore hardly ever seen. Learned points are kept.
- Shockwave and Ground Slam have their own animation: Mara drops to one knee and slams the ground, sparks fly and a shockwave runs across the floor. Hunting Frenzy makes Mara glow red, and during Overdrive the drone glows.
- New ability bar: big buttons with their own artwork, a running cooldown, a glowing rim when the ability is ready and a flash when it fires. Tap to see what the ability does.
- The menu now lists the creators of the effect packs used under “Credits”.
Alpha 0.6.1.47 ·
- Loot texts and damage numbers move calmly again: texts now glide up smoothly instead of jumping, fade out just before the boxes at the top, and damage numbers that move aside no longer swing back and forth.
Alpha 0.6.1.46 ·
- Image sharpness: new level “Auto”, now the default. The game measures by itself how smoothly it runs and steps down automatically on weaker devices. You can still set the level to High, Medium or Low yourself.
Alpha 0.6.1.45 ·
- Inventory, workbench, map and shop: switched-off buttons such as “AUTO-SCRAP: OFF” stay readable after tapping — on the iPad the text used to become invisible.
Alpha 0.6.1.44 ·
- Menu: the buttons for image sharpness and language no longer sit on top of “Delete save”, the chosen option is highlighted, and “Delete save” is now at the very bottom with some space.
Alpha 0.6.1.43 ·
- New in the menu: “Image sharpness” (High, Medium, Low). On weaker devices such as older iPads the game runs much more smoothly on “Medium” or “Low”; menus and texts stay sharp. The performance display also shows the chosen level.
Alpha 0.6.1.42 ·
- Damage numbers now move aside when they would run into the loot texts at the drone — both stay readable.
Alpha 0.6.1.41 ·
- Loot texts (“+33 Switch part”) now really stay below the location sign — the fix in 0.6.1.40 did not work for the location sign.
Alpha 0.6.1.40 ·
- Performance display: now sits at the very bottom centre (it used to cover the location sign) and also shows how much time per frame goes into drawing and into everything else. The anonymous performance report now includes this breakdown too.
- Loot texts (“+7 Switch part”) no longer slide behind the boxes at the top (order, location, wallet).
- On phones and tablets the hint at the bottom now only shows what you can do there (tapping instead of keys) and disappears by itself after 15 seconds.
Alpha 0.6.1.39 ·
- New in the menu: “Performance display” shows frames per second and the server response time at the top. The game also reports errors and stutters anonymously to the server so they get found faster (privacy policy, section 3).
- Tractor beams now always pick up the loot that has been lying there longest first — before, an old piece could stay on the ground for a minute when there was a lot of loot.
Alpha 0.6.1.38 ·
- Start screen: instead of the video, the painted image is back with a slow zoom and pan — sharper, and the page loads faster.
Alpha 0.6.1.37 ·
- Tractor beams: how fast loot is collected depends fully on your beam upgrades again (up to 10). Only when a lot is lying on the ground (30 pieces or more) are identical items merged, so nothing gets lost.
Alpha 0.6.1.36 ·
- The drone reliably collects loot again: pieces used to swing back and forth on the beams around the drone instead of disappearing, blocking the beams.
- Mining and salvaging by hand yields the full amount again (since last night it was only about half).
Alpha 0.6.1.35 ·
- iPad: “Keep screen on” now also works on older iPads and in Low Power Mode. If the normal lock fails, an invisible, silent mini video keeps the screen awake. You can turn it off in the menu as before.
Alpha 0.6.1.34 ·
- Gear: bonus stats now work as percentages on your final values (for example “+8.4 % Attack”) and grow with item level, rarity and upgrade level — every piece is worth it even in the endgame. Your existing items were converted and keep the quality of every roll. “Evasion” becomes “Salvage power”.
Alpha 0.6.1.33 ·
- When the game runs in a background tab it now checks in with the server every 20 seconds instead of every second. Your earnings stay exactly the same and the server is spared.
Alpha 0.6.1.32 ·
- Magma Cauldron: new backdrop (a glowing volcanic canyon with lavafalls) that now scrolls as you walk, new ground with a lava vein and its own enemy — the Magma Crawler, a lava slug made of basalt plates. When defeated its lava cracks go dark and it cools into cold stone.
Alpha 0.6.1.31 ·
- Crystal Ridge: new backdrop (an icy mountain ridge in the dawn light) and new granite ground with a vein of ice. Defeated Ridge Leapers now have their own death animation — the crystals on their back shatter and they slump down flat.
Alpha 0.6.1.30 ·
- Warden Basin: new backdrop (a basalt crater at night with ancient watchtowers), new ground and its own enemy — the Warden, a floating stone orb with a glowing eye and orbiting shards. When defeated the eye goes dark and it crashes down.
- Health bars of flying and large enemies now sit above the body instead of across it.
Alpha 0.6.1.29 ·
- Spore Field: the spore bearer now has its own look — a mushroom creature with a lavender cap that glides on a soft foot. When defeated it tips over, releases a last puff of spores and fades.
Alpha 0.6.1.28 ·
- Shard Ridge: defeated crystal snails now have their own death animation — they slump flat and their shell turns grey.
Alpha 0.6.1.27 ·
- Shard Ridge: the shardling now has its own look — a crystal snail with a shell of white shards and a glowing amber core.
Alpha 0.6.1.26 ·
- Swarm Ground: defeated swarm flies now have their own death animation — the wings fold away, the glow fades and they crash to the ground.
Alpha 0.6.1.25 ·
- Boss chest: drones, drone weapons and salvage arms now show their picture when revealed instead of just a symbol.
Alpha 0.6.1.24 ·
- Swarm Ground: the swarm flies now have their own look — hovering insects with four translucent wings and a glowing abdomen.
Alpha 0.6.1.23 ·
- Windows: the dark shadow edge below every window is gone — the frame is now equally wide all around.
Alpha 0.6.1.22 ·
- Boss chest: no more oversized gap below the “Open another” button.
Alpha 0.6.1.21 ·
- Phone landscape: the bottom bar is centred again — on phones with a camera notch the gap on the left was bigger than on the right.
Alpha 0.6.1.20 ·
- Phone: the quest box at the top left and the bar at the bottom now keep a gap to the screen edge instead of sticking to the corner — also on phones with rounded corners or a camera notch.
Alpha 0.6.1.19 ·
- Phone: The quest at the top left is back — folded small, one tap shows goal and reward. When something is ready, the claim button lights up. Before, the bar was hidden completely on small screens, so the standing order could neither be seen nor claimed there.
Alpha 0.6.1.18 ·
- Old Shafts: The crawler now has its own look — a pale larva on bony arms that pushes itself forward with its tail, with its own death animation.
- Boss chests reworked: after opening, a window reveals every item one by one — you see exactly what was inside. Gear from a chest is at least Rare (blue), with a small chance of Epic, Legendary and Unique; it carries as many affixes as its rarity allows and only rolls values in the upper range. On top you get refined goods (about half an hour of your refinery's work) and, with some luck, an Exo. After a boss victory you can open the chest straight from the notice at the top right.
- The new-version notice now appears at the top right below your balance and no longer covers the zone name.
Alpha 0.6.1.17 ·
- Standing orders now give refined goods instead of credits — steel bars, kaverite plates, void cores and more, depending on how far your refinery is. The amount is roughly one hour of your refinery's work. Exos no longer come every fifth time; instead there is a 20 % chance on every claim — by the eighth claim without an Exo at the latest, one is guaranteed.
Alpha 0.6.1.16 ·
- Boss portals now only open once the zone is cleared — finish the zone first, then face the boss. This applies to every boss; a sealed portal is grey and shows how far the zone still has to go.
Alpha 0.6.1.15 ·
- New in the menu: “KEEP SCREEN ON” (default: on). While the game is open, the screen no longer dims — no more tapping to keep it awake. Applies per device.
- Phone: buttons no longer stick out past the edge in inventory, companions, trading post and supply office — if there is no room, the button moves below the text. In landscape the start screen can be scrolled; “Play as guest” is reachable again.
Alpha 0.6.1.14 ·
- New in the menu: “CHECK FOR UPDATE” with the running version. The game also checks every few minutes on its own and shows a notice at the top as soon as a new version is out — one tap on “UPDATE NOW” is enough, even in the installed app.
Alpha 0.6.1.13 ·
- Mara's glow now moves with her: when she runs, the light sparks are left behind as a trail with faint tails, and her aura lags slightly behind.
Alpha 0.6.1.12 ·
- Inventory: the window now stays still while you fight — tiles and buttons are no longer rebuilt all the time, taps no longer miss, and details appear instantly.
Alpha 0.6.1.11 ·
- Mara's light sparks are now finer and more numerous, some shimmer slightly violet, and now and then one flashes as a tiny star.
Alpha 0.6.1.10 ·
- Mara glows more vividly: her aura now flickers restlessly instead of evenly, and tiny sparks of light rise around her and fade. With “reduce motion” enabled in your system settings, the sparks are hidden.
Alpha 0.6.1.9 ·
- Base and launch pad: buildings now have a soft, gently pulsing glow instead of the hard white outline — like Mara, the drone and the enemies.
Alpha 0.6.1.8 ·
- Heroine: stats, gear and skill status now update smoothly in the open window without rebuilding it.
Alpha 0.6.1.7 ·
- Menu: no longer rebuilds during combat — toggles and daily tasks respond reliably, and a half-typed entry (e.g. a password) stays put.
Alpha 0.6.1.6 ·
- Hunter and Simulator: these windows no longer rebuild during combat either — the purchase buttons respond reliably.
Alpha 0.6.1.5 ·
- Companions: the window no longer keeps rebuilding during combat — buttons like “Rarity ↑” or slotting a drone now respond reliably.
Alpha 0.6.1.4 ·
- Drone Station and Fusion Reactor: the windows no longer rebuild while numbers change — buttons stay put and the igniter choice no longer jumps back.
Alpha 0.6.1.3 ·
- Inventory and depot: the Plasma Cell now sits with the reactor materials instead of under “Other”.
Alpha 0.6.1.2 ·
- Drops of Plasma Cell, Core Coil and other new materials now glow in their own colour instead of plasma blue.
Alpha 0.6.1.1 ·
- Core Shaft: the Core Brood now has its own death animation.
Alpha 0.6.1.0 ·
- Core Shaft: the Core Brood now floats through the shaft as its own enemy.
- Floating enemies now drop to the ground when they die.
Alpha 0.6.0.9 ·
- Core Shaft: the gravitite deposits now have their own artwork.
Alpha 0.6.0.8 ·
- Core Shaft: its own painted backdrop and ground.
Alpha 0.6.0.7 ·
- The glow around characters and enemies is now thinner.
Alpha 0.6.0.6 ·
- Mara and the drone now have a cool glow, enemies a warm one. The enemy glow is a little softer.
Alpha 0.6.0.5 ·
- Enemies now have a soft glow, so they stand out better against dark backgrounds.
- Melt Vein: the Vein Crawler now has its own death animation.
Alpha 0.6.0.4 ·
- Melt Vein: the Vein Crawler now has its own look, a salamander made of cooled magma.
Alpha 0.6.0.3 ·
- Melt Vein: the magmatite deposits now have their own artwork.
Alpha 0.6.0.2 ·
- Melt Vein: its own painted backdrop and ground.
Alpha 0.6.0.1 ·
- Ash Maw: the Ash Worm now crawls through the zone as its own enemy, with its own death animation.
Alpha 0.6.0.0 ·
- Painted backdrops scroll slower than the ground again while walking, which adds depth.
Alpha 0.5.9.9 ·
- Ash Maw: its own painted backdrop, ground and Ember Quartz deposits.
Alpha 0.5.9.8 ·
- Copper, Tin, Iron, Kaverite and Void: the deposits are repainted and now stand on the ground in front view.
Alpha 0.5.9.7 ·
- Own images for Ember Quartz, Magmatite, Gravitite, Fusion Mantle and Plasma Cell instead of colored orbs.
Alpha 0.5.9.6 ·
- Core Chamber: the Core Warden now has its own death animation, its crystals go dark.
Alpha 0.5.9.5 ·
- Core Chamber: the Core Warden now has its own look and an animated walk.
Alpha 0.5.9.4 ·
- Back from another tab: instead of a pile of loot on the ground, you now see a short summary of what was collected meanwhile.
Alpha 0.5.9.3 ·
- The “+N …” pickup labels no longer overlap.
Alpha 0.5.9.2 ·
- Core zones: collected resources now show their name and icon instead of an ID and a blue orb.
Alpha 0.5.9.1 ·
- Core Chamber: the crystal deposits now stand straight on the ground.
Alpha 0.5.9.0 ·
- Core Chamber: its own painted ground.
Alpha 0.5.8.9 ·
- Core Chamber: its own painted backdrop.
Alpha 0.5.8.8 ·
- Core Chamber: the core crystal deposit now has its own image, and core crystal and core coil have their own icons.
Alpha 0.5.8.7 ·
- Refinery: the window now stays put while ovens, amounts and the burn chamber update. Amount buttons, cancel and move-to-front react on the first tap.
Alpha 0.5.8.6 ·
- Supply Office: the window now stays put while amounts and reputation update. Accept, hand in and the tabs react on the first tap.
Alpha 0.5.8.5 ·
- Depot: the window now stays put while amounts update. Tapping to move items no longer gets lost.
Alpha 0.5.8.4 ·
- Trading post: the window now stays put while amounts and credits update. Before, it rebuilt itself on every heartbeat and a click could get lost.
Alpha 0.5.8.3 ·
- Launch pad: the drone station and the fusion reactor now stand closer together.
Alpha 0.5.8.2 ·
- Fusion reactor: since 0.5.8.0 the window rebuilt itself on every heartbeat, so clicks did nothing. Fixed.
Alpha 0.5.8.1 ·
- Burn chamber: with several burn slots, each slot now shows its share of the stock with its own bar. Before, everything was shown in the first slot, although all slots always burned equally.
Alpha 0.5.8.0 ·
- New: the last zones of Act I can now be mined. Ash Maw: ember quartz, Melt Vein: magmatite, Core Shaft: gravitite, Core Chamber: core crystal. You need a stronger drill for them. The Warden Basin now has wrecks to salvage.
- New in the fusion reactor: reactor chambers. They turn one crystal and one ore each into fusion mantles and core coils, bit by bit and offline too. One chamber is free, two more cost Exos.
- New: plasma cells. The reactor makes them from fuel cells and resonance. Loaded, they make the chambers twice as fast.
- Upgrading the reactor from stage 4 and fusion from Epic now also need fusion mantles or core coils.
Alpha 0.5.7.3 ·
- Orders: the required material now shows its real picture instead of a drawn symbol, in the order bar too.
Alpha 0.5.7.2 ·
- Depot: worn gear no longer shows up in the bag. It is on your body and does not count.
- Bag and storage: empty stacks no longer take up a slot. Before, the bag could look full with nothing in it.
Alpha 0.5.7.1 ·
- Wiki: new “Getting started” page with the first steps — fighting and mining, the first zones, offline loot and the first tasks.
Alpha 0.5.7.0 ·
- When an empty deposit bursts, its material flies out in chunks of different sizes, and your drone collects them as a small bonus (10% of the deposit). Wrecks drop scrap.
Alpha 0.5.6.99 ·
- Deposits now last depending on your gear: with starting gear one deposit takes 3 to 6 minutes, with top gear about a minute — but it holds far more.
Alpha 0.5.6.98 ·
- Mining reworked: every mining zone now holds several deposits, big and small, in changing spots. They are really mined, shrink as you go and burst when empty — then the drill moves on to the next one, and a new one grows elsewhere. Wrecks work the same way.
- A bar above each deposit shows what is left; while mining it also says how much is still in it and how much has been mined.
- The Twin Drill now mines two real deposits at once instead of a twin next to one.
Alpha 0.5.6.97 ·
- The combat switch no longer turns itself off when you travel — it stays the way you set it.
Alpha 0.5.6.96 ·
- Wiki expanded: gear (every item with its own page), drones, refinery, Supply Office, launch pad, drone missions and artifacts — spoilers such as artifact bonuses are hidden until you expand them.
Alpha 0.5.6.95 ·
- Offline, Mara now always fights in her zone, whatever the combat switch says — as an idle game should. If auto-mining is on, the drone also mines or salvages while you are away.
Alpha 0.5.6.94 ·
- iPad: images that fail to load are retried until they arrive.
Alpha 0.5.6.93 ·
- New: the ExoMiner wiki at exominer.de/wiki — all zones, enemies, materials and where to find them, in German and English, with values straight from the game. In the “Sources” window a link leads to the matching wiki page.
Alpha 0.5.6.92 ·
- Start page: a short sentence now explains what ExoMiner is, and shared links show a preview with an image.
Alpha 0.5.6.91 ·
- Fairness: boss chests, merging and mission finds now roll hidden on the server — nobody can work out the result in advance.
Alpha 0.5.6.90 ·
- Drone station: build cards now unlock as soon as you have enough credits and material.
- Supply Office: an order's reputation reward now includes the Company Seal.
- Fusion reactor: “All” always makes exactly as many fuel cells as your material allows right now.
Alpha 0.5.6.89 ·
- Drone station: drones now need fuel. Every mission costs fuel cells at launch — 250 per hour in near sectors, up to eight times that in far ones. The fusion reactor makes fuel cells from scrap and circuit parts.
Alpha 0.5.6.88 ·
- Fusion in the fusion reactor: two identical artifacts of the same rarity are fused into one of the next rarity for credits and void cores. Each reactor stage unlocks the next level; for stages 4 and 5 you choose an artifact as igniter.
- Heart of the Works: whoever has one of each of the eleven other artifacts at Epic can assemble it in the reactor.
Alpha 0.5.6.87 ·
- Fusion reactor: it now fuses scrap and circuit parts into fuel cells (50 scrap and 2 circuit parts per cell) — so they no longer pile up endlessly.
- The Harbour Master is now called the Supply Office. A bar there shows how far it is to the next rank.
- Large amounts in the material bag no longer wrap onto two lines.
Alpha 0.5.6.86 ·
- Artifacts! Drones rarely find an artifact on missions — the longer the mission, the bigger the chance (up to 10 % for 24 hours). Every sector has its own artifacts, each grants a permanent bonus: more credits, experience, loot, damage, mining and salvage power, reputation, a faster refinery, longer fuel cells or shorter missions. The collection album in the drone station shows what you already have.
- At the maximum level the experience bar is full and shows "MAX".
Alpha 0.5.6.85 ·
- Drone station: the exploration progress is now shown readably above the bar instead of inside it.
Alpha 0.5.6.84 ·
- Drone station: missions! Send drones into unexplored sectors for 1, 4, 8 or 24 hours — they keep working while you are away and bring back resources. Every mission explores the sector; once it is fully explored, the next one opens. After upgrading the station you can build up to 10 mission slots. Drones are never lost.
Alpha 0.5.6.83 ·
- Base: on large screens the base becomes wider so the refinery, depot, trading post and harbour office are really larger. The railing has no more white spots, and building signs always stay on top.
Alpha 0.5.6.82 ·
- Base: the refinery and the depot are larger and fit Mara better. The light outline now only runs around the outside of buildings, without white specks. On top of the bunker Mara walks behind the railing.
Alpha 0.5.6.81 ·
- Base: the bunker now stands large behind the trading post and the harbour office; its ladder on the right is freely accessible.
Alpha 0.5.6.80 ·
- Base: the bunker is larger, the Hunter and the Simulator stand behind the railing.
Alpha 0.5.6.79 ·
- Base: the Hunter and the Simulator now stand on the roof of a bunker instead of the old walkway. Climb the ladder on the bunker to get up.
Alpha 0.5.6.78 ·
- Backgrounds are no longer enlarged more than needed: top at the screen edge, bottom at the ground line. On iPad you now see more of the picture.
Alpha 0.5.6.77 ·
- Base: buildings have a thin light outline so they stand out from the background.
Alpha 0.5.6.76 ·
- Map: larger, names no longer overlap. Building signs sit right above the building, also for ruins. A locked “BUILD” button is now grey instead of gold with unreadable text.
Alpha 0.5.6.75 ·
- New art: every building in the base has its own picture — the refinery and depot visibly grow (more ovens = more stacks, more storage upgrades = more containers). The map now has a painted picture. New: the launch pad next to the base (via the map, unlocked after the Spore Field) with a drone station and a fusion reactor, built in stages. The drone missions for it arrive in one of the next updates.
Alpha 0.5.6.74 ·
- Hangar: drone slots are now built instead of unlocked — with an ingredient list (have / need, missing in red) and “To the refinery” when bars are missing. Inventory: under “Used for”, fuel cells and bars now also list the burn chamber, bag and storage upgrades and slot building.
Alpha 0.5.6.73 ·
- New “Exos” window (tap the Exo counter at the top): your balance and, first of all, how to earn Exos without real money — open goals, first victory per boss, standing order with a countdown to the next Exo. If you cannot afford a purchase, the red price button takes you there. Refinery: the amount bar always shows all four buttons; what you cannot afford is greyed out.
Alpha 0.5.6.72 ·
- Order bar: tapping a material row opens its sources — every level where it can be found, with “Recommended”, “You are here” and fast travel. For ore, auto-mining switches on when you arrive; for bars it takes you straight to the refinery, with the sources of the ingredients below.
Alpha 0.5.6.71 ·
- Refinery: buttons tidied up — amounts as a slim bar (10 | 100 | 1000 | All), buying as a small Exo button with the price, “cancel” subtle instead of a full bar. On phones the bar fits below the text.
Alpha 0.5.6.70 ·
- Burn chamber: two extra burn slots can be unlocked for Exos (100 and 200 Exos). Each slot adds another +100 % speed and burns just as much — the chamber holds correspondingly more fuel.
Alpha 0.5.6.69 ·
- Order bar: one row per material instead of one card per order — stock, total need and what is missing. “Hand in all” appears from the first finished order; single hand-ins are in the harbour office. The bar ends above the bottom bar and scrolls if needed.
Alpha 0.5.6.68 ·
- Refinery: two extra ovens can be unlocked with Exos (20 and 40 Exos). Exos can be earned without money too — from goals and your first win against a boss.
Alpha 0.5.6.67 ·
- Return screen: the loot has more room and no longer presses against the CONTINUE button. Identical pieces are grouped (“2 ×”), lots of loot scrolls in its own area.
- “1 minute” instead of “1 minutes” (hours too).
Alpha 0.5.6.66 ·
- Start screen: “You were away …” now shows the real time away, measured by the server clock.
- Cleanup: the old no-account save path is gone. Leftovers of it in the browser are deleted on start.
- The skill bar above the character now only redraws when something changes.
Alpha 0.5.6.65 ·
- Steel: a template's duplicate stack now only grows up to what is needed on average to reach red (failures included, 161 from grey). Everything above is scrapped normally again — with full yield including steel. Anything already above the cap is cleared by “Scrap old duplicates”.
- Tier-4 suit pieces give more steel when scrapped (5 instead of 3 per piece, before rarity and level).
- Hangar: drone stats, experience, merging and slots are now calculated by the server. The browser no longer has its own stat calculation.
Alpha 0.5.6.64 ·
- New button in the bag: “Scrap old duplicates”. It clears the stacks of templates you no longer wear or that are already red — they are shown faded. It tells you beforehand what you get.
Alpha 0.5.6.63 ·
- Equipment can now be locked: tap “Lock” in an item's detail panel. Locked items (🔒) are never scrapped — neither by hand nor by auto-scrap —, never stacked and never used up as a duplicate. Equipping, moving to storage and merging the item itself still work.
- If a worn piece is already red (highest rarity), further finds of its template are no longer stacked — it needs no more duplicates, so they are regular scrap.
Alpha 0.5.6.62 ·
- Duplicates are now stacked like ores and materials: if you find a piece with the same template as one you wear and it is not an upgrade, it becomes the number “Duplicates” instead of an item. It takes no space in your bag, auto-scrap never touches it, and merging pays with it first. Duplicates already in your bag are stacked on the next heartbeat.
Alpha 0.5.6.61 ·
- Auto-scrap no longer keeps duplicates for merging in your bag — they filled it to the top, so nothing was scrapped and no more loot dropped. Everything you do not wear and that has no golden arrow is now scrapped. Put duplicates you want to collect for merging into storage: there they count and are never scrapped.
Alpha 0.5.6.60 ·
- All windows now stay calm: when only a number changes (amount, progress, counter), just that number is updated instead of rebuilding the whole window. This applies to the map, hangar, refinery, storage, trader, orders and all others.
- Auto-combat and auto-mining show the real state on all devices. Before, one device could show “ON” although it had long been switched off on another.
Alpha 0.5.6.59 ·
- Auto-scrap works reliably again: a second device or an old tab could secretly switch it off again when saving. Now only the switch itself counts — and it also scraps what is already in your bag, not just new loot.
- Inventory: buttons and images no longer twitch. The window was rebuilt completely every second; now only when your equipment changes. Material counts still update live.
Alpha 0.5.6.58 ·
- Inventory: stats, comparison with what you wear, scrap yield and merge costs are now calculated by the server. The yield is now exact — before, the game sometimes showed one less than you actually got.
- The game loads faster: server responses are compressed, about a quarter of their former size.
Alpha 0.5.6.57 ·
- Auto-scrap is now done by the server — it keeps working even when the game is not open, and no longer rebuilds windows while you play.
- While you are away, the server tidies your bag by itself as soon as it is full — so no new loot is lost. It only scraps what has no golden arrow; merge fodder stays.
Alpha 0.5.6.56 ·
- Clicks register reliably: windows like the map, refinery or inventory no longer rebuild while you are pressing. Before, that sometimes swallowed a click.
- Stats, combat power and the boss chamber rating are now calculated only by the server — the browser just shows them.
Alpha 0.5.6.55 ·
- Auto-scrap now cleans up properly: it keeps only what gets the golden arrow, plus as many duplicates of your worn pieces as the next merge needs.
Alpha 0.5.6.54 ·
- The mining button now has its own icon.
- Auto-mining: Mara follows the drone to the ore or wreck and stays close — as long as no enemy needs her.
- The drone flies more freely and glides to its target instead of shooting across the screen.
- The order tracker now has “Hand in all” as soon as two or more orders are finished.
Alpha 0.5.6.53 ·
- New: auto-mining. The auto button at the bottom is now split — fight on the left, mining on the right. With auto-mining your drone mines ore or salvages the wreck in every zone on its own, even while you fight. This works while you play; nothing is mined offline.
- Handing in orders is faster: the button reacts as soon as you tap, the list no longer slides away under your finger, and a quick tap no longer sends Mara walking.
Alpha 0.5.6.52 ·
- Buttons react faster: a click no longer waits for the background sync, and the double-tap delay on touchscreens is gone.
- The fuel chamber now looks like a refinery order — with a fuel cell, fill level and bar.
Alpha 0.5.6.51 ·
- The fuel chamber holds at most 24 hours of fuel — then it is time to reload.
Alpha 0.5.6.50 ·
- New: fuel chamber in the refinery — load fuel cells and busy ovens work twice as fast while they burn. The higher the refinery, the longer a cell lasts.
- “Smelting” is now called “Refinery”.
Alpha 0.5.6.49 ·
- The server now calculates every second — while you watch you get the full yield. Before, the time between two syncs was reduced as if you had been away.
- Energy, cooldowns and shields are kept across syncs.
- When something doesn’t work, the message now says why — for example “Your bag is full.”
Alpha 0.5.6.48 ·
- New: all patch notes on their own page — link at the bottom of the start screen and in the menu.
Alpha 0.5.6.47 ·
- New: play as a guest — up to level 15 without signing in, with your progress still stored safely on the server.
- Guests can create their own account at any time: progress is kept, plus 5 Exos as a gift.
Alpha 0.5.6.46 ·
- Drones only collect real loot now: “ore/min” became a gathering bonus on kills, mining and salvaging.
- Harbour: order amounts and reputation grow with your reputation rank.
- Images load more reliably on iPad, windows no longer flicker.
- While salvaging, the drone hovers above Mara’s head.
- Damage numbers are smaller and easier to read.
- A bad connection no longer books anything twice.
- Quest titles are now available in English too.
- New: this overview appears after every update (also in the menu under “News”).
Alpha 0.5.6.45 ·
- More security: every purchase, reward and order is now checked and booked by the server.
- Buttons only report success once the server has confirmed — the display always shows the real state.
